As the description says I am not a scientist, I just have a long standing interest in scientific matters, and pseudo-science. Because of this, anything I say should be viewed with the appropriate amount of skepticism.
I've been unsure if I should use my real name or not, but for the moment I've decided to stick with the pseudonym Bellman. I'm not trying to pass myself of as a false authority, because as I hope I've made clear I don't have any authority. The real me is pretty much a nobody, and I cannot see any advantage to anyone knowing more.
The intention of this blog is to look at claims being made online, and explain why and if they are wrong. It's quite likely that a lot of this will be about global warming, partly because that's what interests me most at the moment, but also because that seems to be the subject that results in most of the nonsense I see on the internet these days.
Don't expect too much from this blog. I won't be updating very frequently and don't intend it to be topical.
